He made the remark in the parliament’s yesterday morning session in response to the spiteful remarks of the head of U.S. Central Command David Petraos.
He said it was quite evident that the Americans were trying to comfort themselves through using of such malicious remarks in face of the general hatred targeting them by the nations of the region.
He said despite the whole body of plots hatched by the Americans and their extreme interference in Iraqi election, the brave nation of Iraq, too, inflicted a big blow on the U.S. by their votes.
Larijani said he believed that after the latest developments in Iraq the U.S. is quite justified to term the country’s election as a political shock but he said the Americans’ problem could not be solved by use of ugly words because the public hatred towards them was rapidly growing.
He stressed that the U.S. administration and officials were in fact suffering from political isolation among regional states so they are trying to soothe their wounds by indulging in nasty behaviors.
