The designs of the rugs were chosen from the book titled “Figurative Designs in Rugs” by the renowned Iranian sculptor Parviz Tanavoli. Golestan Gallery manager Lily Golestan did the selection, a press release from the gallery said.

The rugs were woven by 12 expert rung-weavers in Minoodashat and Galikesh areas closely supervised by handicraft specialist Mansoureh Faramarzi.

The 12 rugs will be on display and will be offered for sale until Thursday, March 18.
