TEHRAN - Tarantist is an Iranian Rock band formed in 2000. They had a few concerts in Tehran during the past years, including performances in Golha Cultural House, Shafagh Hall in Avaay-e Hambastegi Music Festival which was held by Tehran Municipality and the band won a Gold prize in the final day. Tarantist also participated in two internet-based music competitions held by Tehran Avenue Webzine.

They also had some concerts abroad, in Europe. Last October they had performances in Amsterdam and collected many international feedbacks. During their European tour, they released their self-produced EP which sold out.
Now the musical group is getting ready to cross the borders again and spread Persian culture to West. They are rehearsing hard these days for their upcoming tour, while a new full-length album is mixing meanwhile. They are also going to participate again in Tehran Avenue Music Competition 86.The band may be tuned with at www.tarantists.com
