Late last year, the US congress extended a bill dubbed Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) for another decade in sheer breach of the JCPOA clinched in July 2015, leading to international criticism.
According to another mainstream German news outlet Tagesspiel, several high-ranking delegations from the EU met with the Trump’s would-be security advisor Michael Flynn pressing the US not to terminate the nuclear deal unilaterally.
Iranian deputy foreign minister Abbas Araqchi is currently in Vienna for Iran and P5+1 Joint commission that oversees the implementation of the groundbreaking agreement.
It is the sixth such meeting that has been held to discuss the historic deal so far.
Tehran has expressed frustration at a lack of commitment to the agreement by Washington, blaming the United States for the deal not producing the level of economic benefits it expected.
